Maintain long phrases with support all the way through with quick breaths

Listen to the other voices and balance yourself. You want to be one voice

Change your vowels every few times you modulate (change keys)

Start with Oohh, then to Eee, then to Ahh

Keep your mouth nice and open inside while only changing your lips to accommodate the various vowel shape.

Using your vowel shapes previous practice your octave jump

Slide up to the note and back down smoothly making sure you touch every note in between

Practice your dynamics. Start down the octave at a Pianissimo (quiet) and as you slide up to the top note crescendo (ramp up) to Forte (loud) and then back down to Pianissimo (quiet).

Your Pianissimo should use as much air as your forte. When you crescendo, don’t push. Support all the way through. It should sound controlled, not forced.

Sing exercise to | Be Be | Ba Ba | Bo |
Keep it percussive & controlled
Focus on pitch, nailing each note in the center of the pitch especially once you get to the higher notes

Ear-Training

If you don’t have a piano there are plenty of apps that will work just fine for this exercise

Using a piano, play two notes simultaneously in a range of the piano that is comfortable for you.

After playing both notes once at the same time, try to sing the higher note.

Repeat exercise choosing two different notes each time and singing the higher of the two notes.

After several intervals, switch to singing the lower of the two notes and repeat exercise.
